Legion Emblem

The Royal Canadian Legion is a national organization with branches across Canada. Branch 26 is in Sackville, NB, located at 15 Lorne Street.

In November 1925 the Canadian Legion was founded in Winnipeg, Manitoba. It grew steadily and expanded after the second World War.

The Legion strives to respect and honour military service, and serve the veterans and their families. This includes RCMP and military.

They promote remembrance and serving our country. The red maple leaf is a symbol of Canada, derived from the Canadian Coat of Arms.

The words in Latin, 'Memoriam Eorum Retinebimus' mean 'We Will Remember Them'. This is the Royal Canadian Legion's motto and pledge.
