The Story Behind

"The past is a place to learn from, not to live in/" - Anonymous

The inspiration for this print comes from two different six-year olds.

Oneday my six-year old granddaughter saw her parents arguing and  pointing fingers at each other. As adults we keep living in the past and tailor our behaviour based on past incidents.

She listened for a few minutes and then said calmly, "Don't live in the past!"

I was blown away by the wisdom of these words.

The other story is about a six-year old child of a friend. Children love to swing things without taking note of the objects pr people that may be in their trajectory.

As he was swinging his toy around, by mistake he hit his grandfather.

The grandfather explained to him calmly to be more careful before he starts swinging things around.

The next day the grandfather thought he should reinforce the teaching from the day before. As the child proceeded to pick up toys, The grandfather reminded him of the incident of the previous day.

The child calmly said, "That was yesterday. Past is past!"

How true! Instead of living in the present moment, we spend much of our time living either in the memories of the past or living in the imagined future.

Hanging on to the past ruins our present relationships apart from constantly reminding us of the hurt we felt. It's best to let go and move on.

Knowing where one wants to go, setting the goal and focusing on it are important in order to succeed. If one can eliminate distractions and stay focused on a single goal, success is not hard to attain. Sometimes it takes a young six-year old to remind us of this. It is based on a true story.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
