The Story Behind

Article: Black & white print on Lenox acid free paper

This print is a part of the series, 'Lessons Learned from Six-year Olds'. 50% from the sale of this print is donated to mental health.

The inspiration for this print came from my six-year  old granddaughter, Shaela.

One day I asked Shaela to draw me a picture. She drew icecream cones piled one on top of the other till they were at the top edge of the page. If there was more space she would have continued. Only a child who loves icecream can think of drawing something like this.

Looking at her drawing, I commented, "Shaela, you just live for treats, don't you?"

She said, 'Well, yes!" and looked at me questioningly as if to say is there anything wrong in doing this?

As much as she loves treats, she loves to play sports, be outdoors, on her bike, scooter, playing basketball etc.

Come to think of it, she truly lives in the moment. For her, life is filled with fun, adventure and treats which make her today sweet & fun. She makes the best of every second life has given her.

She said one day to her mother, "Mom, when I wake up, my heart is filled with joy."

In reality, tomorrow doesn’t exist. What exists is simply the present moment.

If we can learn to live in the present without thoughts of the past or worries of the future, perhaps we would live each day more fully!

Knowing where one wants to go, setting the goal and focusing on it are important in order to succeed. If one can eliminate distractions and stay focused on a single goal, success is not hard to attain. Sometimes it takes a young six-year old to remind us of this. It is based on a true story.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
