Enlightenment

CA$ 169.00 CAD

Enlightenment is a ceramic sculpture carved out of a block of white sculpture clay. The different shades of the glaze indicate the meditative state of the inner quest of the mind. What is enlightenment? According to Buddha, 'It is the complete and non attachment to your thoughts and in the absence on attachment to one's own thoughts, all that is present is love.' This is a perfect piece to inspire you every day. It belongs on the mantle of your living room or your meditation area or your study.

The Story Behind

Deep within me, I am always searching my soul for knowing what is my true purpose in life and how I can fulfil it. I had this block of white sculpture clay which had been sitting for a long time. It became quite hard, hard enough that I couldn't roll it. I didn't really want to throw it. So, I decided to carve this image of Buddha out of it. I wasn't sure if it would turn out to look anything close to Buddha, the enlightened one. I know from my meditational practice that all answers lie within. Through an internal quest of the truth, all of us have the ability to become enlightened.

As Albert Einstein said, "A human being is a part of the whole called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.  This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection to a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."

This is the compassion and kindness I wish to cultivate in my heart. They say that the real point of kindness is not paying back but to pass it on, i.e. pay forward.

Knowing where one wants to go, setting the goal and focusing on it are important in order to succeed. If one can eliminate distractions and stay focused on a single goal, success is not hard to attain. Sometimes it takes a young six-year old to remind us of this. It is based on a true story.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
