Do you love Canadian Rockies? One of my most memorable trip has been to Canadian Rockies. This painting has been inspired by the beautiful mountains and waterfalls I saw through my travel there. I have always been fascinated by mountains. Their grandeur and majestic beauty is breathtaking. The mountains stand tall through all kinds of weather and atmospheric conditions. Looking at the huge mountains, snow covered with mist floating around them, I think of the challenges life puts in front of us. Just as mountains stand tall and firm, we have to be strong and face the challenges with confidence. Here's what Zoe P. , one of the people who visited my site, had to say about this painting. "I was looking through the paintings on your website and I felt that your piece "Call of The Mountains" was especially moving. The way you have painted the water fall over the rocks makes it seem as if I'm watching it in motion as I'm looking at the painting, from my perspective it does not seem as if the piece is standing still. I also really like that even though the water seems as if it is the center of the painting, my eyes are actually drawn to the rocks right next to it, they are painted with such detail, it looks so realistic!" Her words sum up what I was trying to achieve in this painting.

The Story Behind
This painting was created during the pandemic. Travel restrictions meant staying home. Even though I couldn't travel, I felt the mountains were calling me. Oh, how I longed to travel back to some of my favourite places, the Canadian Rockies being one of them. It has been many years since I was there. The spectacular beauty of mountains, and waterfalls left me mesmerized. Going through old photographs, I felt the mountains were calling me once again. That is why this painting is called, 'Call of the Mountains'.
The mountains and waterfall have emerged through layers of paint, various textures, and captivating colours.
