Spring in the northern hemisphere is an invitation to the birds to return home. The blue herons flying in the sky create a beautiful rhythmic pattern, Swooping down and soaring up in the air they create a ballet like dance. The birds are painted in a minimalistic style of Sumi-e style of Japanese ink wash painting. The silver adds to the elegance of birds creating a ballet in blue.

The Story Behind
Above the marshes, where the snow is melting, the blue herons ride the breeze gracefully flapping their wings. It is the most majestic sight. I live near the Taantramar marsh. This is one of my favourite sights.
Blue herons symbolize peace, tranquility, balance, and being present in the moment. These aare the qualities we can emulate.

This black and white print is a part of the series, "Lessons Learned from Six-year Olds". Each piece is hand-printed by the artist. A portion of the money from the sale of this print is donated to mental health.
