The Story Behind
I am not a sailor but I love to see the boats at the marina ready to embark upon an adventure. Experienced navigators know tht apart from skill, intuition and respect for the elements is needed. I can well imagine that these sailing adventures teach lessons of patience, of dealing with the unexpected, of resilience and adaptability. Water is important for physical sustenance as well as mental well being. Its significance goes well beyond adventure, sailing, fish, and navigation to experiences that transcend the ordinary and connect us with the essence of our life.
The colours, textures, and forms in this mixed media painting convey the feeling of adventure, excitement, anticipation. The light in the painting, the richness of gold speak of hope, and promise of good things to come.
