Article: Black & white print on Lenox acid free paper

Image size: 12″x12″, Paper size: 15″X15.75″, Framed: 20″X20″

This print is inspired by two true incidents involving six-year olds. “Past is past!” These are the words of wisdom from the mouth of a six year old that we all need to remember. In reality, the past doesn’t exist except in our minds and feelings. The only thing that exists is the present moment.

Based on a true story, the print is a part of the series, “Lessons Learned from Six-year Olds”. Each piece is hand-printed by the artist. A portion of the money from the sale of this print is donated to mental health.

Black and white print – a part of the series, “Lessons Learned from Six-year Olds”

The inspiration for this print comes from two different six-year olds. One of them who saw the parents arguing and  pointing fingers at each other, calmly said, “Don’t live in the past!” The other child had by mistake hit his grandfather while swinging a toy around. The grandfather told him to be more careful before he starts swinging things around. The next day when the grandfather tried to remind him in an effort to reinforce the lesson, the child calmly said, “That was yesterday. Past is past!” How true! Instead of living in the present moment, we spend much of our time living either in the memories of the past or living in the imagined future.
